The Imperial, Kings Road, Fulham London

26 Jun

My latest tastecard adventures took me to a part of London that I am not too familiar with. Kings Road, Fulham. Or “The Kings Road” as it’s fondly known as. What perception is conjured up by Kings Road? Well, it was famous in the 1960’s for style icons Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren.

Nowadays, it still has a reputation for being one of London’s most fashionable shopping streets. In addition to this, it is also known as being residency for Fulham’s 4×4 mums and Made in Chelsea. Continue reading

My Visit to Antwerp, Belgium

3 Aug

I’ve actually been to Belgium twice this year – and four times in my life (well actually five if you count a school trip).

My first trip this year was for Easter and it was truly wonderful. As always we stayed at the hotel our lovely friend manages. She always gives us the best room and the service is phenomenal.

Here are some pics from that trip (back in April!) including of course – the amazing food we ate.

The Usual Suspects – A “Magnum Gold” Screening

28 Apr

Last week I attended a screening of The Usual Suspects. Yes, the one that was made in 1995. Why? I wondered too. All I knew is that it was a “Magnum” screening.

Arrived to find balloons, Moet & Chandon champagne and a gold carpet. Got chatting to the girls promoting the event (as you do… if you’re me) and it turns out that Benicio Del Toro stars in the TV advert for the new Magnum Gold ice cream. An advert everyone but me appeared to have seen and a product I certainly hadn’t heard of.
Benicio Del Toro (for those that don’t know) is also in The Usual Suspects.
