Persian Chicken and Avocado Salad at Leon Restaurant | Summer Food

2 Jul

Summer is here and we’re all striving to tone up, lose weight, look hot and for some of us – show off pieces of our body that nobody wants to see. Ever.

Anyway enough of some of the sights I see in London – have you been to Leon recently? They’ve not long ago introduced a super tasty Persian Chicken and Avocado Salad.

When Leon introduces their new additions to their menu they do it in the most wonderful way – using social networking and placards outside of their restaurant. The marketing certainly works for me (as you may have seen in my Poached Egg Cups post). I regularly find myself hot-footing it into the nearest branch (almost always Old Compton Street) to feed my food fetish.

I visited Leon and bought the Persian Chicken and Avocado Salad – takeaway. I was so impressed that the product I bought looked extremely similar to the photo I had seen on their Facebook page.

Persian Chicken and Avocado Salad from Leon

It’s not often you see a photo replicated in the flesh

I wrote on their wall to tell them so but I guess they weren’t that surprised as they didn’t respond on this occasion 😦 It might be because I told them I loved it all apart from the vinaigrette. It didn’t taste of anything special. Kind of reminded me of something you’d get from M&S – I expected a lot more from Leon.

I highly recommend you try it – protein and taste in a box – might take some of those love handles off – here’s the content:

Persian Chicken & Avocado Salad
Our twist on the old school Coronation Chicken. Flavour packed, gently spiced dressed chicken with avocado on a salad of cos, spinach, red chard, roasted red peppers, cucumber, baby plums, tomatoes and a lovely pot of vinaigrette.
