I’ve been pretty busy recently and many of my social events have included food. I’ve been a bit slow blogging about it but have documented my events with photos with full intention of updating this blog.
I visited the Taste of London festival for the first time ever two weeks ago. I don’t know how long this festival has been in existence but I’m glad I discovered it!
I went with fellow foodie Chanelle (Parisienne Cupcakes).
We sampled vodka, Mount Gay Rum, stopped by at Bentley’s Oyster Bar and Grill,
got friendly with the Barbados stand (fab food, friendly staff and wonderful shots of rum),
and had lunch at Busaba Eathai Thai Restaurant.
The only downside was visiting Bea’s of Bloomsbury Cakes stand (the only cupcake stand at the entire festival) and sharing a red velvet cupcake which we were looking forward to after hearing many good things about the Holborn based cafe.
It was extremely disappointing. Dry, bland and we left wondering why successful companies are not always up to scratch. Pure hype. We concluded that Parisienne House of Cupcakes really has nothing to worry about…
By the time we left we were very full and slightly tipsy…
